Our work falls into two areas: Design Quality and Community
Design Quality is all the work we do with professionals in
the public and private sector to provide expert advice and promote good place-making.
It includes design review, training, advice and facilitation. Nearly all our Design Quality work is paid for by charging fees.
Community describes all the work we do in education, arts and culture, heritage and with communities. It includes, work to encourage collaboration between artists and architects, engineers and planners, our pioneering City Builders project to enable young people, whatever their backgrounds to enter the built environment professions, and projects to celebrate the heritage of places in the West Midlands and use it to shape tomorrow’s developments. Nearly all our Community work is paid for by grants, sponsorship or donations.
