Aqueduct Road, Shirley
Design Review in November 2012 of a scheme on Aqueduct Road, Shirley for 200 dwellings with associated car parking, access, infrastructure provision and open space.
The panel commented that the retention of parts of the existing landscape structure and the reinstatement of the orchard goes some way towards fulfilling its high potential but other aspects of the design are disappointing. The use of standard house types does not help to bring out the best in this development opportunity. Nevertheless, even within the constraint of standard house types we believe that more could be done to optimise the quality of this proposal.Click here to see full report.
