volunteer with MADE
We have a small staff team at MADE and a lot to do, so we are really grateful for additional support from volunteers.
Two types of people volunteer to help MADE:
Students and recent graduates for whom volunteering with MADE can help improve communication skills, knowledge of the built environment industries (architecture, planning, landscape architecture, urban design, engineering) and their network of contacts. Volunteering opportunities for students and graduates can include volunteer placements of up to three months or help with one-off events. These volunteers often help us with valuable background research for our work, help organise new initiatives or tweet or live-blog from events.
Experienced professionals who want to support MADE’s objectives, particularly helping young people to access built environment careers and providing design support for communities. These volunteers often talk to young people and give them support with their projects during our City Builder Academies or provide feedback and advice during our GRADs CV and interview workshops.
If you are interested in volunteering with MADE we ask you to complete our online form so we can put you on our volunteer register. It only takes a couple of minutes and means that when the need arises for volunteer help we have a list of people we can ask. Going on the register does not commit you to helping MADE. You can always say ‘no’.
