Shaban's success

17 year old Shaban Kamal attended our City Builder Academy in Summer this year.  Studying Maths, IT, Applied Business and R.E. A levels at Holte School in Birmingham his dream is to have a career in an area of engineering.  With the help of City Builder Academy and the knowledge he gained Shaban has managed to secure a place at Birmingham Metropolitan College, which is one step closer to his goal.  As a creative young person who is interested in buildings and how things work he would like to study a specific area of engineering at university but is still undecided on what area.  See below for Shaban's testimonial.

'I was privileged to go to MADE's 'City Builder Academy'.  I learnt some useful information about the course I am now doing at Matthew Boulton.  The City Builder Academy helped me to learn about engineering.  To add to this, there was a specialist engineer who came to the academy who told us some useful information about engineering.  He also answered our questions that we had and he gave us a broader view about engineering.  As well as learning about engineering we learnt about other subjects too.  I really liked the site visits that we went on, especially when we went to The Cube and we got a brilliant view of Birmingham.  Overall the City Builder Academy helped me get my place into the college along with the GCSE's that I got.  Also by writing on my application form that I had the experience of the City Builder Academy was very beneficial to me.  So THANK YOU MADE!'
